It’ll soon be 4 months for me in the NFT world. A lot of time, or so it seems, and a good time to reevaluate my strategies, to remember what I want, what I’ve done, what I’ve almost done and what I haven’t done. That’s a tricky thing, comparisons in the NFT world are dangerous. I’ve seen others that have reached amazing targets I can’t even dream of yet, I’ve seen others lose everything and get out of this, I’ve seen everything in between.
As we can read many times on Twitter, it’s not good to shadow people’s strategies without knowing very well what it means to them, and how they play. Otherwise, maybe you run out of liquidity, and for them it’s just an irrelevant 0.1%. Right now, I’m out of liquidity, I have some collections I treasure, some collections I value, some collections I hate and can’t get rid of, and a lot of trash.
The current Solana market is weird, in the sense that it’s not a developed art market in itself, right? But who says NFT markets are going to work like an art market when there’s so much more they can be? And that is the thing, utility… We want NFTs that make us unlimited money, printing more and more every day, so we don’t have to sell them, we want to sell them 10, 50, 100 times higher than we bought them. But then we stumble upon art. Yes, we might do that. At some point. Sometime. Or never. But, why does it matter then? I know, I have my long theories developed during years in front of cold beers in dark bars near old universities, but what are your thoughts, anon? What is the utility of art? This haunts and makes difficult to understand the art market and industry of humanity for artists, curators and historians, too, so there’s no easy answer, I’m afraid.
It’s time to explore a bit, to slow down to speed up, to review positions and to be patient, at least for me. To offer value to the communities I’ve cherished and been able to join, and maybe the time will come, maybe options will come.
Either way, let’s see how these coming days go, but for sure new and interesting ideas are coming.
I like your thoughts and your strategy. Take it easy, take it slow. Me personally, I'm zerging!
